Join us on Saturday, August 13th at French Broad River Park in Asheville from 1 pm until 7 pm for RiverFest 2011. Proudly sponsored by Prestige Subaru, Craggie Brewing Company and Southeastern Sports Medicine, RiverFest will include live music from headlining act Josh Philips Folk Festival as well as the RiverFest Music Showcase competition.
Kids will enjoy the face-painters, art supplies and animals from the Western North Carolina Nature Center. There will also be a Kids Parade, where children will be able to ride, skate, walk, run and skip together in costume.

Participate in one of the highlights of the festival, the "Anything that Floats" boat race. Pre-registration is required and is only $20/boat or raft. Registration deadline is August 10th. Visit RiverLink.org for more information on the raft race.

RiverFest Music Showcase
During RiverFest 2011 three bands will be invited to perform a 20-minute set at a time designated by 98.1 the RIVER between 1pm and 4pm.
During the RiverFest Performance, bands will be scored in two ways.

A panel of judges from 98.1 the RIVER, Musician’s Workshop and Prestige Subaru will give each band a score of their live performance. We will choose 3 bands to take the stage at RiverFest 2011 and the crowd favorite will with $500 worth of gear from Musician’s Workshop and recording time with Whitewater Studios. |
